Below are the general timings and events of a school day at KJS followed by some additional information. Full class timetables will be shared by the class teacher at the start of the year.
8:00 am School gates open. All children wait on the lower playground. Walking and talking only in the playground at this time.
8:15 am Y4, Y5 and Y6 go to classrooms.
8:30 am Y1, Y2 and Y3 are greeted, line up and are taken to their class by their teachers.
10:00 – 10:15 am Y5 and Y6 playtime – lower playground only.
10:15 – 10:30 am Y1 and Y2 playtime – lower playground only.
10:30 – 10:45 am Y3 and Y4 playtime – lower playground only.
All students eat a healthy snack (brought from home) in their classrooms.
12:15 – 12.45 pm All students eat lunch in classes. Lunches are either brought in from home or ordered through the PTA.
12:45 pm – 1:15 pm Playtime for all students in lower playground, upper playground, hall or library.
2:45 pm Classes end. Students are taken to school buses or are picked up by care givers.
Some students remain at school to attend after school clubs.
