Children with Moderate Learning Difficulties

Additional support is provided at both Perth and Rose Street campuses for children identified as having moderate learning difficulties. This program has a maximum enrolment of 7 children. These children are supported by our specialist teacher who is assisted by educational assistants. Wherever appropriate the children are integrated into the mainstream classes with the specialist teacher or educational assistant working in conjunction with the class teacher.

Children who are candidates for special placement in the Learning Support Class must first be assessed by the Special Needs Admissions Group to ensure proper identification of the level of need and consequent appropriate placement.
