Kung Hei Fat Choi! I do hope you have all had a wonderful week celebrating the new year. The children came in to school this morning with lots of stories to tell about the food they have eaten and the fun they have had! I would like to say very big thank you to Bryan Lau, Matthew Lau, Alyssa Chan, Audrey Lee, Cherie Lee, Anya Chan, Chloe So, Joon Kyi and their families for doing such a good job watering the plants in the holidays – we are all extremely grateful for your time!

Wishing you a wonderful week.

SCHOOL FAIR – March 18th – Save the date!

Today the Y6 Student Council met with William, our PTA Chair, to offer their advice on games and amusements for the school fair which will have a ‘World Fair’ theme this year. It looks like it is going to be enormous fun for the whole family so please do mark it in your diary.

Some of you have already signed up to help at the fair and we are extremely grateful for your help. Please contact the PTA Office if you are willing to give us some time on the day. There will of course be other ways you can help out….Raffle tickets are already being sold and we are very impressed by the students’ motivation! We are looking for donations of unwanted gifts, new or quality second hand household items for the White Elephant Stall. These could be toys, household items and appliances, bikes, CDs, DVDs, puzzles or board games! Please be mindful that we are not able to sell pirated copies of CDs or DVDs. We have already started collecting second hand books (for children or adults) and would appreciate as many donations as possible. All donations should be sent to the PTA Office. Many thanks in advance for your generosity.

Our school fair is always a time of great excitement because of the finals of the KJS Talent Show! Should your child wish to audition the sign up sheet can be accessed here:

Please note there should only be one parent contact shared per group audition.  Auditions will be held in the next few weeks.

It will give parents an understanding of what is happening in schools and the different roles of people involved in bullying, including the victim, the bully and the bystanders. The social and emotional well-being of children involved in bullying will be discussed as well as the strategy that KELY teaches young people around bullying, so that parents can support their children.
