Message from the Head of School

Dear All,

On Friday over 600 of us celebrated the end of term at the Rainbow Disco! I would like to thank William and the PTA team for organizing such a wonderful event for us. The children (and teachers) dressed according to their designated rainbow colour and everyone had great fun dancing along with Mr Chahal and Mr Moxon all evening! Thank you to all the children who performed a Haka as a goodbye to Miss Kaye – it was a wonderful tribute to her as she starts the next chapter of her journey.  I would like to officially thank Miss Kaye for her contribution to the school over the last two and a half years in her capacity as a class teacher and literacy leader.

Watching the Senior Choir sing up at KGV before the disco began to really start the party mood – and on the way back to school I picked up a few ‘essentials’ from our PTA Christmas stall! Thank you again to all involved.

Well done to the football teams who last week both became champions at the Kowloon Football tournament! I hear the matches were extremely exciting and that Mr Fay and Mr Riddell were biting their nails at the end!

As I type a group of children and parents are visiting The Hub to give out stockings filled with presents to children who are less privileged than ourselves. Thank you for your kind donations and also to Mrs Wong for providing a bus for us.

With only half a day left I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation and support in what has been an extremely successful term at KJS.  Please remember that we finish today at midday and that our second term will start on January 3rd.

Wishing you all the best for a fun holiday together.

See you all in the new year.

Karen Thomas

Head of School

UNIT OF INQUIRY REPORTS

The new Unit of Inquiry reports have been well received despite a few issues with actually finding them! Our aim is to make the reports easier to access and more informative for you.  Unfortunately the email sent to parents with the ‘magic link’ directly to your child’s report went to most people’s SPAM folder.  Our tech team have now worked on this issue so, as we prepare to send the next report out,  we expect to avoid a repeat of the problem.

Lost and Found

Lost and found items are currently displayed outside the school office. Unclaimed items will be removed at the end of January.
