Newsletter- 20/06/18Kowloon Junior School's latest newsletter is available to read now. Dates for Your DiaryFriday 22 June Y5 Market Day Wednesday 27 June Y6 Leavers Celebration - 2pm at School Hall Friday 29 June End of Year (half day) Monday 13 August Start of 2018-2019 School Year Dear Parents, Thank you so much for your support of our school PTA. Because of parental support and the tenacity, dedication and hard work of Saloni Melwani and her team the school received a cheque for $180 811.00 toward the “Secret Garden.” The first of our Secret Gardens will be ready to open to start the new year and will be of particular benefit and interest to our Year 1 & 2 children. We will send some photos once it is formally opened and the secret location can be revealed! As we enter the last week of the year we are able to see the significant progress the children have made over the year. It is so pleasing to see not only academic progress, but also development of character and the traits in the Learner Profile. I reported to the School Council recently regarding the progress our students are making together with the significant progress we have made a school over the year. One of our major goals was to identify what quality teaching and learning looks like and in doing so enhance the quality of learning experiences for our children. Feedback from parents suggests we still have a perceived variation in the quality of teaching at KJS. We are confident with the foundational work we have undertaken in the last year that we will see more consistent high quality teaching at KJS in the future. I mentioned to the PTA last night at the final meeting of the year that we really need to hear from you if you have concerns about the learning experiences your child is having. It is our commitment to ensure success for every child, this means challenging and supporting children to be the best they can be and providing a quality learning environment. Together we can achieve “Success for Every Child!” Kind Regards 亲切的问候, सधन्यवाद Neill O'Reilly Principal Library NewsVideo recap from the Library The Library Team has prepared a video with a recap of what's been happening at the library this year.
