Welcome to our first Year 1 Newsletter

We are incredibly excited to be working with you and your children during this academic year.

Each week we will write a newsletter keeping you up-to-date and informed about your child’s learning. This will provide you with a good understanding of happenings in Year 1 and how you can support these learning experiences.

It was a delight to meet so many parents at our “Year Ahead” (24th August) and “Welcome” Meetings (28th August). We hope you found the events both useful and informative.

We have had a very busy start to the new school year and already the students are adapting to the classroom routines, turn taking and making new friends. We are starting to create our essential agreements to ensure that we are providing a positive, safe and collaborative working environment for everyone to learn in.

Through our unit of inquiry (UOI) over the next 4 weeks children will, inquire into how members of a successful have roles and responsibilities. Next week we will provide a full Unit of Inquiry overview which will include ways you can help at home. Please remember, if you have any concerns or questions in the first place contact your child’s teacher. We welcome feedback and we want to work with you to achieve success for every child. We are looking forward to a successful year in Year 1!
