We have been learning about syllables, do you know how many syllables are in the word hippopotamus? Syllables help us to segment words, read and spell. When we are reading with our teacher we have explored books linked to topics of interest, pattern and questions. We have been gathering questions before, during and after and finding out the information as we read.
We have been reflecting on the experiences that we have had and discussing our personal interests, collecting information about what we are passionate about. Some of us are interested in similar things so we will collaborate to explore what we want to find out. What are you passionate about? Do you share your interest with anyone else?
We have started to learn about pattern, defining what a pattern is and demonstrating what we know. Can you find any patterns in your environment?
