Unit of Inquiry

E-farm Trip

What a great week it was with the highlight being the visit to E- Farm. The children learnt so much about : AQUAPONICS, PICKLING VEGETABLES, BUILDING A TRELLIS AND MAKING COMPOST.

 

 

Maths

Classes continued to work on measurement and repeating and growing patterns.

 

Literacy

We have been focusing on comprehension skills in our reading groups. In writing we have begun looking at explanation texts.  After the field trip, children reflected on their learning and tried to explain how the farmers used different techniques to grow plants in an environmentally friendly way.
