Yr4 Weekly Update – 01/09/17

Central Idea Understanding who we are as learners enables us to take on challenges

Dear parents,

We would like to welcome you and your children to Year 4. We have had a great start to the year and thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all on Monday. It was both interesting and helpful to listen to your insights into your children. The Year Ahead meeting gave us the opportunity to let you know some of the key information on what to expect in Year 4, for parents who were unable to attend the presentation will be available on the website. Through our unit of inquiry over the next four weeks, children will inquire into what it means to be a successful learner, reflect on where they are now as a learner and set themselves challenges to improve their learning. Next week we will provide a full Unit of Inquiry overview which will include ways you can help at home. Please remember if you have any concerns or questions in the first place contact your child’s teacher. We welcome feedback and we want to work with you to achieve success for every child. We are looking forward to a successful year in Year 4!
