Good afternoon Parents,

Mr Fay, who has been leading the health and safety team as we have prepared for the return to school, is pleased to report:

It has been wonderful to see the children returning to school this week. They have arrived with big smiles, visible beneath their masks, and with an enthusiasm that shows how much they enjoy being at KJS. Although our numbers in school each day are much smaller than usual, the teachers and students have been taking full advantage of the space they have. We have had learning going on in the drama studio, the sky garden as well as the gym, the playground and the classrooms. Teachers have commented on how quickly the children have adapted to being back in a school setting and we have certainly been impressed with their ability to move from one style of learning to another.

The children have continued to follow our 3M’s to success – Masks, Metres, and My clean hands Matter – and have remembered all of the ways that we currently work in order to keep us safe and at school. They are a credit to themselves, their teachers, and their families.

We are really looking forward to welcoming the other year groups back into school over the coming days. If the first three year groups are anything to measure by, we know how excited the children will be as well.

Ciarian Fay.

There is little to add other than my immense thanks to Ciarian and the Health and Safety team, including our newest member, Nurse Victoria, for their time, attention to detail and consideration of staff and children, as we have worked to yet another variation of schooling in 2020/21.

Thank you to the 114 of you who responded to the joint ESF/KJS survey. We are analyzing the responses and will share the feedback in due course.

We appreciate your ongoing support, and your partnership with your child’s teacher and the school, as we continue to navigate the unchartered waters of this Covid era. Together, we continue to ensure “Success for Every Child”.

Kind regards

亲切的问候,

सधन्यवाद
