Dear Parents,

What a delightful end to the week we had last week! The essence of PYP and KJS was on display in Year 3 as they held a afternoon session on Fridays for families on ‘Living Museums’ The passion, motivation and determination of the students was so evident.

They dressed in costumes, rehearsed their presentations and then shared their new knowledge through speech, drama, song, visual and digital presentations. The AAROW’s of success were in evidence. The children were Achievers displaying their new knowledge and the progress they had made in their understanding of their chosen historical character, their Agency (voice, choice and ownership) was evidenced in their style of presentation and method of display, their Respect for others was evidenced through their careful and considered sharing of information, they were clearly provided with Opportunity to be creative and collaborative thinkers and learners, communicating their learning in a wide variety of ways and finally their Wellbeing was enhanced as they shared (successfully) their learning with staff and families, awesome year 3!

This approach to teaching and learning is the reason why so many families choose KJS and support their children to be inquirers and learners with agency.

Kind Regards

亲切的问候,

सधन्यवाद
