Dear Parents,
Coming up next week is our parent workshop, “Your child and technology.” If there is one major event you should prioritise this academic year this is it!
Technology is now central to the lives of children, it is how they live, communicate, form friendships, break up, find out about the world (truth is relative) build their image, learn, play and make meaning.
This should concern you, social media and digital media is changing at an exponential rate, not necessarily for the better. You need to know how to protect your child from this wonderful yet terrifying medium as you would protect your child from anything dangerous that can come into your home.
Leaving technology in the hands of children unchecked, unmonitored and unfiltered is like leaving your children home alone with the doors wide open.
Please, mark this workshop in your calendar and come along to find out about your child and technology. Sign up is here.
Kind regards
亲切的问候,
सधन्यवाद

Student Success
We are delighted families are regularly sharing their children’s success at home with us at KJS. To help manage the large amount of information the school sends home, we will channel the celebration of success to our Facebook page leaving the newsletter with the key weekly messages and important dates. You can find the school’s Facebook here. Please keep the photos and stories coming of our children shooting the AAROW’s of Success!
