Dear Parents,

Over the last week we saw the AAROW's of Success in action in many ways at KJS. A group of 19 children participated in “The Race” at Discovery College on Saturday taking advantage of Opportunity while enhancing their Wellbeing. They participated with pride and determination and represented KJS so well.

At the same time another group participated at the Tournament of the Minds (TOM) at Renaissance College. These children showcased Agency, especially given they had to be self led (while teacher supported), give up endless hours in preparation all to compete with the other students from around Hong Kong, in an intense STEM problem solving challenge event. Both events highlight the opportunities provided for our KJS students to succeed and challenge themselves to their personal best, and to be risk takers and problem solvers.

This week will end with another celebration of learning and opportunity at KJS with our KJS Music Concert. We are looking forward to seeing and hearing our children express themselves through the arts on Friday night and once again celebrating the diversity that is KJS school.

Kind regards

亲切的问候,

सधन्यवाद

Principal

UNICEF Kid Power Programme already a great success

It has been a fantastic effort from both students and staff over the last few weeks with the KJS community earning 512 RUTF packets for malnourished children. Keep up the good work.

Please remember to charge the bands regularly and wear them to school so we can sync them and save as many lives as possible.

KJS Year 1 and 2 Sports Day

The most anticipated sporting event of the term is almost here! The children are very excited about the upcoming Sports Day to be held at Perth Street Sports Ground on Wednesday, April 10th from 9:45 am to 12 pm. More details will follow and we look forward to inviting you to watch your children demonstrate their athletic abilities and add to the great atmosphere.

KJS After School Sports Clubs end this week

This week will mark the end of our Term 2 after school sports clubs. As always, our participation levels have been fantastic and it is great to see our community value physical activity so strongly. Thank you to all those who participated in a KJS club this term. The commitment and enthusiasm has been wonderful to witness.

The RACE at Discovery College

We were so proud of all our runners who competed in the RACE, held at Discovery College last Saturday. Afer a very wet and miserable start to the day the weather turned and provided some ideal running conditions. All of our runners competed well, finishing strongly in all their races. It was a fitting end to what has been a fantastic season. please click HERE to see the video of the day.

KJS Annual Concert

We are pleased to invite you to the Annual Concert which will take place on Friday 29 March at 6 -7.15 pm in the School Hall. The seating will be free and students from the music department will perform in many different ensembles in including the Percussion ensemble, Ukulele Ensemble, Recorder Ensemble, Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra, Junior and Senior Choir, String groups, and Flute ensemble.
