Yr3 Weekly Update – 19/8/16

This week in mathematics we have been asking the children to demonstrate their understanding of place value through the use of concrete materials, numbers and words. This is extremely beneficial for us as we learn more about the needs of your child and how we can best support them.

Literacy
This week we have begun benchmarking the children to confirm reading levels. It is wonderful listening to the children reading and we are excited about developing enthusiastic and passionate readers in Year 3. The children have also completed an unassisted piece of writing for us to use to develop writing targets.
