It is with warmth and excitement that I welcome you to Kowloon Junior School (KJS) where the AAROW’s of Success; Agency, Achievement, Respect, Opportunity & Wellbeing define growth and accomplishment for our learning community. KJS is a student-centred and dynamic school. A school where ‘Success for every child’ is at the heart of what motivates our students, staff and the community. KJS aims to realise students’ potential in academics, in the arts, in sports, in their personal lives and through responsible action in our local, national and international communities.

Our school has a strong and proud history. We will continue to build upon this to ensure that our children are active participants in the creation of their future selves. The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a supportive and powerful learning framework that sets our children up for success, not only at KJS but also through to secondary school and beyond.  We partner with our families to ensure our students have the best possible learning environments to promote well-being, collaboration and continuous development. The learning experiences provided through the PYP programme at KJS will assist your child to view mistakes as learning opportunities and encourage creative and critical thinking in a respectful setting.

Our leadership team and staff have a passion for creating learning opportunities that stimulate thinking, draw on intrinsic motivation and promote assessment-capability. Each year we look forward to working with families to make KJS an exemplar of quality teaching and learning in Hong Kong and to ensure Success for Every child through our AAROW’s of Success.

At KJS, our commitment to ‘Success for every child’ also means doing all we can to prepare our students to succeed today and in the future by holding ourselves to high expectations. Our membership in the English Schools Foundation (ESF) ensures we can draw on the collective wisdom of a learning community and create strong and successful pathways of learning for our children from Kindergarten through to their graduation from Secondary School.

Please contact us if you would like to see KJS in action or if you would like to meet with me.

Kind regards
