Kowloon Junior School (KJS) is one of the primary schools under the English Schools Foundation (ESF), the largest provider of English-medium international education in Hong Kong, and is a very large, well-established five form entry school catering for 900 students from Year 1 to Year 6.  It is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is an IB World School. Teaching and learning at KJS is rich in inquiry and underpinned by a rigorous approach to pedagogy and practice.

Our school accommodates up to 30 classes, 5 classes at each year level and the maximum class size is 30 pupils. To assist each child to develop to their full potential in all areas, a balanced programme of academic, social, physical and cultural activities is offered at KJS.

All of the classrooms have interactive whiteboards, full wireless connectivity, and access to a bank of laptop computers and mobile devices.

The current staff are outstanding educators. Whilst they originally hail from UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or American, many have been in Hong Kong for many years.

Hong Kong culture values education and at KJS, parents are very supportive. The students are wonderful and the staff are amazing. It is a wonderful place to teach.

KJS is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced classroom teacher. This position will be a full-time two-term and one-year finite contract from January 2019 to August 2020.

The successful candidate will be a talented and accomplished primary teacher with the required knowledge, skills and understanding to work closely with an experienced team of educators, dedicated to catering for the needs of all children in their care. They will have an excellent understanding of the Primary Years Programme. In addition to being an exemplar practitioner and excellent team player, the successful candidate will have a warm personality coupled with strong interpersonal skills.

Part Time HR & Finance Assistant

KJS is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our HR & Finance team in July 2018.

The post holder will provide quality assistance in all human resources & accounting aspects under the supervision of the HR & Finance Manager at KJS.

The successful candidate should possess:

  • an excellent command of spoken and written English & Chinese (Cantonese)
  • good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • willingness to help people, cheerful personality and positive attitude;
  • an ability to manage his/her time effectively and work under pressure with great initiative and self-motivation;
  • an excellent hands on experience in using Microsoft Office and Excel;
  • preferably previous working experience in a school environment and/or multinational organization
  • preferably a degree or diploma holder
