Kowloon Junior School (KJS) is one of the primary schools under the English Schools Foundation (ESF), the largest provider of English-medium international education in Hong Kong, and is a very large, well-established five form entry school catering for 900 students from Year 1 to Year 6.  It is an IB World School, and teaching and learning at KJS is rich in inquiry and underpinned by a rigorous approach to pedagogy and practice.

Our school accommodates up to 30 classes, 5 classes at each year level and the maximum class size is 30 pupils. To assist each child to develop to their full potential in all areas, a balanced programme of academic, social, physical and cultural activities is offered at KJS.

All of the classrooms have interactive whiteboards, full wireless connectivity, and access to a bank of laptop computers and mobile devices.

The current staff are outstanding educators. Whilst they originally hail from UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or American, many have been in Hong Kong for many years.

This position will be a full-time two year teaching contract initially, but depending on the successful candidate’s experience and personal preference, this may become a full-time one year teaching role. The post holder will assist in site, buildings and facilities management; and ensure resources are utilized effectively and efficiently. He/she will work closely with the school’s site staff and ESF Facilities Development Team. The successful candidate with substantial experience in a managerial role will be considered for the position of Office Manager with an additional responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the School Office.
