Unit of Inquiry: How We Express Ourselves

Different art forms reflect people’s creativity.

 

UNIT OF INQUIRY

At the moment the children have completing creating a piece of art and have begun reflecting in the creative cycle. Their sketchbooks are evidence of this amazing process and I’m sure they are excited to share their journey with you at the end of the unit.

 

MATHEMATICS

This week in mathematics we have been exploring chance and probability. The children have been developing their understand of the vocabulary we use when we are talking about the chance of an event happening. Apparently Mum’s maybe has a different meaning to Dad’s maybe. It seems that if a child wants to stay up and watch a movie, there is a higher probability  that Dad will say YES. We have also been placing events on a probability line with 0 meaning impossible and 1 at the other end meaning certain.
