Acting Principal’s Message

Dear KJS Families,

This coming Friday, we will have eight ESF Board members visit the school. The Board members will also visit KGV and JCSR schools during their time in this area. KJS Student Council members will lead a tour for the Board members around the campus, and I am proud to share that they have put together a route and some discussion points to highlight the many KJS strengths that we have on show every single day. Our Student Council members are very excited about this opportunity, and we are equally excited to be able to support them on their leadership journey.

As some of you may be aware, we have created a new student development and leadership group called ‘KJS Techsperts’. We are starting small with interested Y6 students and will look to expand the opportunity over time. The aim of this initiative is to support our students in upskilling themselves to be able to use learning technologies as tools to enhance and transform learning. We also aim to provide them with the authentic opportunities to teach others and put their developing knowledge and skills into practice. We look forward to sharing more about our Techsperts throughout the school year.

EDB recently announced another round of 2500 HKD/child grants, and our KJS team members are working hard to prepare and distribute the forms as quickly as possible. Please let us know if you have any questions or require any support throughout the process.

Kind regards,

Dr Jamie Schmitz

Acting Principal
